Sheen additive
Sheen Additive for matt and satin finish: Sheen additive component are added to lacquer to achieve matt or satin sheen.
(1) For matt finish- Matt Additives: Dilute Matt Additive as 1:1 with deminralised water and add directly to working bath as 2% to 4% to get satinising effects.. It works well on low solvents, low build system lacquers and it also varies on type of metal and base coating. For example works well on zamac, aluminium, satin nickel, satin chrome but not so well on bright nickel.
For satin finish alter the ratio of matt additive.
We do not recommend Matt Additive on Bright Nickle plated surface as it is not as effective on Bright Nickle. Matt additive works well on Scotch bright and Sateen.
Other additives
(2) High performance additive
(3) Heat resistance additives
(4) PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) dispersion as an additive which will make coating slippery and reduce friction. The addition would be 10% to 15% of concentrate.
