Solvents for Electrophoretic Lacquers
(A) Flow Solvent
If it is pitting, dry coating, or for better flow promoter add this flow solvent. Please note that If Flow solvent solution gets too high in lacquer it starts to coat too quickly and too thick. Flow solvent added in increment and it will increase film thickness. It is also added to bath with slow production to improve flow.
The addition of this flow solvent would be as 0.25% of working bath solution added directly to working tank. At the time of adding to bath agitation is required. The addition should not exceed 1% of bath solution.
Special solvents are used for large baths with low turnover systems or where bath is lying idle for a long period.
(B) Rinse Additive
Rinse Additive is specially designed for better finishing to be added to rinse demineralised water. Pre and Post special SHINEX Rinse Additives- 1 to 2 ml per litre of rinse tank.
(C) Primary Solvent
For every 10 litre of permeate removed add 350 ml of Shinex Primary Solvent and 5 ml Shinex MEQ Replenisher.
(D) Emulsion MEQ Replenisher
Maintain MEQ > 35. MEQ reading of 40 to 45 is ideal. Addition of 10mls Shinex MEQ Replenisher to 50 litre bath will increase MEQ by 2 (0.2mls/litre bath).
