To have a good clear (non-yellowing) coating ensure that you use organic brightener process.
We recommend Schloetter's process best suited to your application is Elfit 73E Bright Silver. (Schloetter Company Ltd. www. schloetter.co.uk Tel: 01386 552331, Email: info@schloetter.co.uk).
This process is a cyanide silver electrolyte using two additives - Elfit Brightener and Elfit Starter. It is a non-yellowing process which does not go yellow after backing and shows through clear lacquer.
Bright Silver ELFIT 73 E, (IMDS ID No. 757767) process produces pure white, bright, haze-free deposits over a wide range of deposit thickness. The process is ideally suited to decorative and electronic applications. The electrolyte has excellent bright throw and deposits obtained from Bright Silver ELFIT 73 E has conductivity equal to pure silver.
