Conductivity
Conductivity varies for various lacquers. Please refer to individual data sheets.
The conductivity of the solution needs to be maintained at recommended level to achieve good deposition.
It changes on the usage/production carried and bath contamination. The test is done using a conductivity meter.
The good conductivity is between 450 to 650 for Shinex cathodic lacquers, between 400 to 600 for Shinex cathodic clear lacquers, and between 500 to 800 for Shinex anodic lacquers.
Low conductivity (less than 450 ¥ìS) could be due to Low solids or Low solvents. In such situation Analyze & adjust solids or solvents.
High conductivity (greater than 650 ¥ìS) could be due to due to carrying over contamination an additional filtration is necessary, High solids so reduce voltage, High solvents so purge with Ultrafiltration or Ionic contamination so purge with ultrafiltration.
The conductivity could be higher due to MEQ levels. Measure MEQ levels and take necessary action.
