Clear coating
Gold: 9ct or 18ct Gold plated (3 to 4 micron)jewellery would require clear lacquering for durability.
Silver jewellery would require clear lacquering for durability.
Silver flashed items would rquire Shinex Non Yellowing Clear lacquer. To have a good clear (non-yellowing) coating ensure that you use organic brightener process.
FOR NON YELLOWING CLEAR COATING
HB50C is for clear coating as it does not yellow in oven and gives high build film of 1500 rubs.
HP50 is for clear coating as it does not yellow in oven and gives high build film of 2000 rubs.
Low Cure lacquer is also for clear coating as it does not yellow in oven and cures at 125C.
LB30 and LB60 Plus are acrylic Non yellowing lacquers for clear coating.
Nickelplated items would rquire Shinex Non Yellowing Clear lacquer.
Rhodium coating do not require lacquering as even a very thin coat of Rhodium coating gives tarnish resistance. It is an expensive process However lacquering on rhodium is possible.
